The Dog Days of August
This has been a very tring month. You see I have FOUR dogs. One laso apso, a.ka. cancer dog, one 137lb Rottweiler w/ neurological issues, one lab mix with a bad hip and a Akita Lab mix, thank god he appears healthy. The Rott, Rudy, & the llaso are not well. But Fitzy, cancer dog is almost 14. We planned on giving him the shot tomorrow but he has rallied. Probably because he heard Kurt, my husband, deciding his fate with the vet. He hates Kurt and I believe he will hold on just to spite him. rudy on the other hand is only two and a half. He was healthy and then out of the blue he starts dragging his feet. Kurt thought it was because he was fat. (God knows he is one to talk) Well we took Rudy to the vet, yes we are building his childrens college fund. I believe they will go to an Ivy league) and he ran tests, blood test, x-rays, and physical exam. EIGHT hundred dollars later... still no idea what is wrong. So he recomends us to a neurologist. Whoo hoo more money for guesses.
I should also mention my sister, a very challenging individual, has been "visiting" for the last week. Can I just state that though I love her, family should never stay longer than three days.
and so the dog days of summer continue.......
