FINALLY A MOMENT TO MYSELF TO BLOG...
It has been an extremely hectic week. Our term began today and the build up to it was all rush, rush, rush. Not to mention hellishly long days. I have easily put in my thirty hours as of today, and I still have tomorrow and Friday.
I am not complaining, just explaining as to why I haven't updated the blog in a while.
First let me say thank you for everyone remembering my birthday. I, unlike many other women, LOVE getting older. Yes it does come with a few extra creaks, cracks, and wrinkles in very weird places but the benefits FAR out weigh these little annoyances. I am much more happy at 42 than I was at 22. I am a helluva a lot more confident, more secure, and better insured. The stress I have in my life now consist of which face cream really will diminish that huge crease on my forehead. So, YES, I LOVE getting older. Soon I can wear MooMoo's ride on one of those scooters and be a crazy old bat and all anyone will say is, "Oh she is just a crazy old woman." HAHAHAHAHA
Back to topic. My wonderful, sweet, adorable husband, (Do you think I am so in love with him because I have barely seen him this week?) took me on a wonderful meandering drive this last Saturday. I truly did not want to face housework so we ran away for the day and played. We ate ice-cream, petted puppies, tasted wine, and just enjoyed each other for an entire day. It was just me and Kurt.
We ended up on the coast, ate at this great little seafood joint called The Chowder Bowl. Great food. The clam strips were the bomb as well as the fried oysters. Clam Chowder wasn't that great but the other food made up for it threefold.
We also stopped off at Chinook Winds and tossed some money to the gambling gods. They apparently were very angry with us as they did not reciprocate one dime.
Sunday was a day of rest and leave Kelly alone with her movies and laundry. I was granted complete alone time. Except when Kurt would periodically poke his head in to ensure I was still alive.
Then Monday came. My birthday. Two days before the start. As of Friday I was 2 over my goal. As of Monday morning I was 3 under. Needless to say I was feeling the stress. But what could I say. When people need to R/S their start due to getting into Habitat for Humanity? Not having adequate childcare because they just enrolled. And a FA issue that is just so BS it makes me scream even now????
Oh then their was the cancel because 60 minutes ran a segment about how greedy and evil career schools are and we are all just about money and not the students. Well, same could be said about the Community Colleges. THEY REALLY DON"T CARE!!
Therefore, Monday was a bit tense for me. But my co-workers bought me a chocolate cake, because chocolate cures all and wine. God Bless them.
And when I finally did get home, Kurt had decorated the house with balloons and streamers and made a HUGE b-day card signed by the boys. It was all very sweet.
Tuesday... Orientation. Another long day. Lots of chaos. Lot's of stress.
And now it is hump day. Is It Friday yet???????????????

By the way.
Renova should take care of those forhead creases.
