Marriage

I feel compelled today to start some dialog about this subject.

I married the first time when I was 18. Way too young and completely clueless. I failed in that marriage then waited 13 years before doing it again. What I have learned and am still learning, is marriage is about not changing your partner but helping them be a better person because you are a better person when you are with them.

It is not easy this constant dance we entered into. Sometimes you just want to sit it out but your partner wants to keep dancing. Ok, silly metaphor. Yet it is a dance. We try to make sure we don't step on toes, keep things flowing smoothly and try not to get all tangled up. We compromise, we communicate, we fight, we cry, we make up and we continue to try to bring harmony and balance to this relationship dance.

I know very little. I like to think I know things but basically I am fairly ignorant. Yet, I believe I have learned this. When I am having issues, i.e. Kurt is getting on my last nerve I tell him. I talk to him. We express our emotions and try to come up with a solution. We also are honest and trusting of each other.

Marriage is not easy but it is wonderful. It is a fabulous feeling knowing someone is there for you through anything. Knowing you can tell this person your deepest secrets and they will still love you.

It is a blessing, never to be taken for granted.

The count down begins

Soon my A.I. friends we will know.
The moment of truth.
Will it be Country or Rock and Roll???
Now, I still believe the producers should have made Bo & Carrie sing the Donny & Marie Osmund tune,
"I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock & roll. "
That would have just been classic.
Not to mention hysterical
I mean come on!!!
This is all for show anyway, why not ham it up just a bit????
Or would that have just been too mean to do to Bo?

STAR WARS

This weekend along w/ millions of others we sat in a movie theater for about three hours. The movie was two hours and 33 minutes. But after getting to the theater early, sitting through previews... I believe we put in a solid three plus hours.

I saw the original Star Wars, A New Hope-Episode IV, when I was 13. It was and still is one of my all time favorite movies. I have not enjoyed I & II as much as I did the originals. Something was missing. I am not sure exactly what, but something.

So, I did not have to high of hopes for SW III. I was excited but not overly expectant.

I was SURPRISED! I was ENTHRALLED! I was ENTERTAINED.

And yes, I cried. It was EVERYTHING and more I could have asked for. Some people have said the dialog was bad, the acting wasn't that great... well HELLO!!
Neither was the Originals. But they had that special something.

And so did Star Wars revenge of the Sith - Episode III

Thank You George Lucas for a most entertaining afternoon.
